Online maps - Javascript based SDK Demos http://www.atlasct.com/maps/online-interactive-maps-demos.asp including a completely Macromedia-Flash based client, a javascript based client for the Flash module (with a fully supported SDK), and a completely SVG based client.

Greasemonkey (http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/) is a Firefox extension that allows users to add DHTML capability to given web pages (there is also an Internet Explorer version; http://www.daishar.com/blog/archives/2005/03/greasemonkey_fo.html). Inspired by Google's AutoLink (http://news.com.com/Google+landgrab+raises+online+ire/2100-1032_3-5582792.html?tag=nefd.lede) feature the script basically gives users the capacity to change the content of web pages on the fly.

Interactive Locator Map : http://www.shipwreckcentral.com/map/index.php (you can add your own relevant shipwreck information to the map, thus helping build a database that we all share).

Online Green Map sites : http://www.greenmaps.org/grmaps/web_maplist.html (mapping everything from community gardens and recycling bins to landfills and urban blight sights) with a standardised set of Green Map icons, cities all over the world are comparing their environmental sites with each other.

"Pray look better, Sir... those things yonder are no giants, but windmills." - Miguel De Cervantes (1547-1616 Spanish Novelist Dramatist Poet) from http://www.borntomotivate.com/MiguelDeCervantes.html
