Historically, maps are powerful tools -- universally understood and resource efficient, artfully leading us to new discoveries as they reshape our perspective of the place around us.   Each locally-made Green Map is independently produced, and the process undertaken in each locale varies greatly.   http://greenmap.org/grmaps/maps.html

A mediatrip is an original visual aesthetic/narrative that samples content from film, television and/or other 1st generation sources to create a new media experience. It is a form of artistic, political and personal expression ( http://www.mediatrips.com/) .

"In my experience, most interesting art gets made by people who don't know the rules, and have no idea that certain things simply aren't done: so they do them. Transgress. Break things. Have too much fun.  ...
I've learned over the years that everything is more or less the same amount of work, so you may as well set your sights high and try and do something really cool."  - Neil Gaiman http://www.neilgaiman.com/journal/2004/06/what-i-said-at-harveys.asp

A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors but they all have to learn to live in the same box.
Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open.
