Stop trying to boot this drive. Mount it as a secondary in a working system - then see what you can still read. Seagate and Maxtor hard drives have an excellent free cloning utility (based on Arconis TrueImage available). Any 3.5", 7200rpm SATA hard drive will be fine to replace the hard drive.
